Absolutely. We regularly see patients whose families want another perspective. Dr. Kelly will review your pet’s records, perform an examination, and provide her honest assessment of the diagnosis and treatment options.

First, we’ll review your pet’s medical history and any records you’ve provided. Dr. Kelly will then perform a comprehensive physical examination and discuss your pet’s diagnosis with you. She’ll explain the available treatment options, answer your questions, and help you understand what to expect. If you’re ready, treatment can begin the same day. If you need time to think, that’s completely fine. There’s no pressure.

Plan for about 60 to 90 minutes. We don’t rush these consultations. You’ll have time to ask questions and discuss your concerns.

Yes. Our clinic has an open-concept design, and families are welcome to stay with their pets through almost every step of the process. We know how important it is to be there for them.

Yes. Many of our patients travel from Albuquerque, Taos, Las Cruces, and other parts of New Mexico, as well as from Texas, Arizona, Colorado, and California. After your initial in-person consultation, we can coordinate follow-up care and monitoring with your local veterinarian to minimize travel.

Absolutely. Once we’ve seen your pet and established a treatment plan, we’re happy to coordinate with your primary veterinarian for ongoing monitoring, lab work, and supportive care. This collaborative approach makes it easier for families who live farther away.
