Pet Insurance

Veterinary Cancer Care believes in pet insurance! Time and again, we’ve seen it enable pet parents to provide critical and life-saving care for their pets, especially when facing the extensive care needed for a pet with cancer. Having a pet who is ill is difficult enough without worrying about paying for veterinary care. Pet insurance lets you focus on returning your fur baby to good health.

Like human insurance, there are a lot of companies and plans to choose from. We highly recommend Trupanion, but there are many quality providers to choose from. It’s a good idea to take the time to research several providers and plans to find the one that best suits your needs.

Some things to consider when shopping for a pet insurance policy include:

  • How much is the deductible? Is it annual, per event, or for the life of the pet?
  • What percentage of the bill does the insurance cover after the deductible?
  • Does the plan cover routine and preventative care?
  • Does the plan cover pre-existing conditions?
  • Does the plan pay your veterinarian directly, or is it a reimbursement model?

If you have any questions about pet insurance, don’t hesitate to ask us—we’re ready to help!
