Millie
Millie is a licensed veterinary technician with over twenty years of experience in emergency, specialty, and oncology nursing. As the Nurse Manager at Veterinary Cancer Care, she oversees patient care operations, client education, and the training of clinical staff to ensure that every patient receives the highest standard of compassionate, skilled, and evidence-based care.
Before joining Veterinary Cancer Care, Millicent served as a Regional Clinical Trainer for Rarebreed Veterinary Partners, where she developed and delivered advanced training programs for clinical staff in general practice, emergency, and specialty hospitals. Her passion lies in educating clinical staff and clients on how to reduce stress during veterinary visits. Her previous roles in emergency and specialty medicine across hospitals in Santa Fe, Vermont, New York, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine have enhanced her expertise in anesthesia, critical care, patient handling, nurse education, and client communication.
Millicent holds an A.S. in Veterinary Technology with Honors from Foothill College, a B.S. in Wildlife Biology from the University of Vermont, and an M.S. with High Honors in Animal Science, focusing on Canine and Feline Behavior from Unity College. She is a RECOVER-certified CPR instructor, Fear Free Elite Level 3 certified, Human and Bond certified, and a Certified Cat Friendly Veterinary Professional.
Dedicated to supporting both patients and their families throughout the oncology journey, Millie combines her technical knowledge with a deep commitment to patient comfort and quality of life, as well as staff and client education.
